X Factor Judges Categories REVEALED!

With no bootcamp this year, the contestants through from the auditions were cut from 130 to 60 - no easy task!

The X Factor Judge’s categories are confirmed

Robbie Williams has the Groups

‘They’re mega excited, I think I might be more excited than them…I’m very, very happy and I’ve got quite a bit of money with Louis Tomlinson, that he thinks his acts are going to get further than my acts. That’s not going to happen. Let’s win this thing.’

Ayda Williams has the Overs

“I have said from day one that I want the overs. I will never live it down with my husband if I do worse than him, I’m taking these guys to the championship’.

“What the boys don’t know is, I’m the most competitive human on that panel. We’ve got this’.

Simon Cowell has the Girls

‘I’d be happy with the girls... you’ve all got a shot here, this is probably the best girls category we’ve had for a long, long time. Let’s make it amazing’

Louis Tomlinson has the Boys

‘I wanted the boys, get in! The variety is important.’

Six Chair Challenge and Golden X

Those given a yes on this evenings show will be going through to the Six Chair Challenge round which starts on Saturday 29th September on ITV.

This year for the Six Chair Challenge each of our judges has one Guaranteed Safe Seat to give away.

If the judge likes an act enough, and they definitely want to see them at judges houses they’ll press a golden X and give that act a Safe Seat. The judge can only press this for an act in their own category.

This means the act cannot be swapped out of their chair and they’ll go straight through to judge’s houses.

The X Factor continues Saturdays and Sundays on ITV.
