Tyra Banks Announced As New Host On America's Got Talent

In a surprise announcement Tyra Banks is named as the new host of America's Got Talent. Tyra was the host of the long-running America's Next Top Model.
Tyra replaces Nick Cannon after the former host fell out with NBC last year.
Tyra said in a press release "Since I was a little girl, I've been obsessed with grandiose acts and performers who make the seemingly impossible possible,"
Simon showed he was a fan in saying "Welcome to the 'America's Got Talent' family, Tyra! This is really exciting,"
Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles this month
