Susan Boyle is to release a new album called Hope,. her sixth studio collection in five years.
The Scottish singer's new record, Hope, will be released this side of the Atlantic on November 24 and in the US on October 21.
Boyle achieved instant fame in 2009 when she appeared on Britain's Got Talent and was subsequently signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label.
The 53-year-old singer has sold over 22 million albums worldwide and will embark on her first US tour in October.
"I have really enjoyed making this album," she says. "I had a huge input in music suggestions and finally have been able to record one of my all time favourites, Angel, originally by Sarah McLachlan.
"I also am pleased to be able to sing some uptempo songs that show variation in my repertoire. There are also iconic songs, which were a risk to take on but I hope I've done them justice in my own way.
"I themed this album around inspiration and hope because those are two elements we all need in our life to drive us forward and inspire us to go out and capture our dreams - they worked for me after all."
Hope was produced by Cliff Masterson and Steve Anderson, who worked on Boyle's last album, Home for Christmas. They have also produced for Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue, Emeli Sande and Westlife.
