Quartet Jack Pack have signed a recording contract with Syco Music, it is confirmed today.
The latter-day swing group captivated millions of TV viewers during this year’s Britain’s Got Talent auditions performing Frank Sinatra’s That’s Life. They then dazzled the judges in the final with their rendition of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good.
Simon Cowell said of the band “I love this era of music, it only works if you’ve got great voices and if you respect the time and Jack Pack win on both counts. I’ve always wanted to work on this type of record so I am looking forward to us working together”.
The band is now made up of Sean Ryder Wolf, Alfie Palmer, Andrew Bourn and Martin McCafferty. They said: “It’s a dream come true for us to be signing to Syco Music. We’d like to thank Simon Cowell for believing in us and giving us this opportunity. We can’t wait to get to work in the studio and try to repay our supporters for the faith they have shown in us.”
The band will start working with the Syco Music team on their debut album which will take influences from the Rat Pack and swing music styles they are renowned for. Their debut album on Syco is due to be released in 2015.
