Simon Cowell and his partner Lauren Silverman have teamed up with the London Music Fund to support young musicians.
Syco Entertainment together with the Mayor of London will support and help nurture hundreds of children from low income families across London to gain access to music lessons, ensembles and mentors.
Simon Cowell will also be an Ambassador for the charity. The London Music Fund is an independent charity with the Mayor of London as Patron providing grants of around £300,000 every year to enable thousands of children and young people across every London borough to develop their musical potential, through 4-year Scholarships and with project opportunities to learn from and perform alongside professionals. Since January 2012 they have worked with almost 9,000 aspiring young musicians with more accessing the programmes every term.
London Music Fund Chief Executive Chrissy Kinsella said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Syco, Simon and Lauren, with our shared passion for supporting young musicians."
