Simon Cowell lines up Mabel as a judge on Walk The Line

Simon Cowell is keen to sign pop star Mabel to his musical game show Walk The Line.

The Don't Call Me Up singer who is the daughter of singer Neneh Cherry, would be a big coup for the new show.

An industry insider told The Sun newspaper: “Mabel is somebody the producers have been in touch with for a while now. They think she would bring something really fresh to the panel.

Mabel would join Craig David and Simon on the judging panel. Maya James has been announced as the host.

Walk The Line is a high octane series offering music acts a chance to win a life changing prize pot of £500,000. The musical acts - be they soloists, duos, bands, or choirs - will take to the stage to perform for the nation, as well as Simon Cowell and a panel of judges.

But to win the money, talent alone isn’t enough - the contestants will need nerves of steel as they determine whether to cash out or physically Walk The Line and risk it all to stay in the competition.
