Simon Cowell's appearance on X Factor on Saturday night sent Twitter into meltdown when his toe was mistaken for an intimate body part.
Fans of the ITV show were suitably amused when a still image of Simon sitting on the sofa at Judges’ Houses next to Mel B and Emma Bunton made it look as though he was revealing a little more than intended.
On Xtra Factor Simon joked to presenters Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson: “Before anything else I want to clear up toe-gate.
“It was just my toe. It was quite embarrassing when I saw it online but it was just my toe. I have a very large toe.”
Several viewers noticed Simon's 'wardrobe malfunction' on Saturday night.
One commented: 'Has @SimonCowell had a wardrobe malfunction or is he enjoying these auditions a bit too much ? #XFactor.'
Another then wrote: 'So.... #SimonCowell has had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction #XFactor2016 #Xfactor #JudgesHouses.'
It was brought to everyones attention when Simon's 'friend' David Walliams posted a photo on Twitter early the next morning.
We think Simon may be wearing shoes at next year's Judges houses...
