Simon Cowell donates £10,000 to The Christie hospital.

Simon Cowell donated £10,000 to The Christie Hospital after their Britain's Got Talent audition.

The Christie Musical Theatre Company was formed in the face of cancer 10 years ago solely to raise money for the Manchester hospital.

Afterwards their performance, in the wings, Simon took Emma the leading vocalists hand and led her back on stage.

Simon said he was moved by the company's performance and fundraising and wanted to donate himself.

Sadly the company haven't got through to the BGT live shows - but detailed in a Facebook post that Simon has now made good on his promise.

The theatre company said: "On February 8, 2019, 21 of us were invited to stand on the Britain’s Got Talent stage to perform 'Circle of Life' for Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell - as charity contestants - representing The Christie Hospital in Manchester.

"The response we received was beyond what we expected - with the entire Lowry Theatre and all four judges giving us a standing ovation and subsequently four yeses.

"The judges told us that we were a special project; they could tell we were all individually talented but worked brilliantly together as an ensemble - also that we all loved each other very much.

"We will never ever forget our visit to Britain's Got Talent and how it led to such a massive donation from the most important man in music."
